Predictive value of ACEF score for clinical prognosis of elderly patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention

چکیده

Background: To investigate the predictive value of age, creatinine, and ejection fraction (ACEF) score for cardiac death in patients aged ≥75 years diagnosed with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) at 1 month year after emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Percutaneous coronary intervention in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.

The culprit lesion in ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is usually occluded, thrombotic, and subject to vasospasm. These factors can make adequate sizing and deployment of stents in STEMI more challenging than in other clinical settings. Patients with STEMI are at high risk of adverse cardiac outcomes that may be improved with more complete stent apposition and expansion. These...

No-Reflow Phenomenon in Patients with ST-Elevation Acute Myocardial Infarction, Treated with Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Study of Predictive Factors

Introduction: No-reflow phenomenon in coronary vessels, manifested in some patients with reperfused acute myocardial infarction (MI), is associated with poor clinical and functional outcomes. Therefore, evaluation of predisposing risk factors can be helpful in risk assessment and identification of patients at higher risk. Herein, we aimed to study the predictive factors for the development of...

Percutaneous coronary intervention in the elderly with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

As a result of increased life expectancy, octogenarians constitute an increasing proportion of patients admitted to hospital for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Primary percutaneous coronary intervention is currently the treatment of choice for octogenarians presenting with STEMI. The recent literature on this topic has yielded controversial results, even though advances in ...

ST-segment resolution after primary percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

Background: The association between ST-segment resolution and clinical outcome in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) remains unclear. Recent studies on the association between ST-segment resolution and mortality have given conflicting results. We undertook this study to assess whether ST-segment resoluti...

Platelet-To-Lymphocyte Ratio as a Predictor of No-Reflow after Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Patients with ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Introduction: No-reflow increases the complications and mortality rate of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Therefore, it is important to identify patients at a higher risk of developing no-reflow. This study aimed to systematically review the prognostic value of the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) to predict no-reflow. Materials and Methods:</s...
